The Cursed Tomb Treasure side quest in Hogwarts Legacy offers players an exciting scavenger hunt packed with magical puzzles, combat encounters, and unique gear rewards. To complete this quest successfully, witches and wizards must decipher a mysterious map fragment and navigate the dangerous depths of an ancient burial site. Understanding the required spells and location prerequisites ensures a smooth journey from start to finish.

Finding the Mysterious Map Fragment

Before embarking on the treasure hunt, players must travel to the Manor Cape region located in the southern part of the open-world map. You can access the basement beneath the ruined estate by unlocking the locked door with Alohomora Level 3 or lighting a statue bowl on the nearby hill to open a secret passage. Inside the basement, players must defeat powerful dark wizard foes and open the locked chest to retrieve the Mysterious Map Fragment.

Locating the Tomb of Treachery

Once you secure the map fragment, your next destination is the Tomb of Treachery found along the border of the Poidsear Coast and Coastal Cavern. The entrance to this cavern is hidden behind a cascading waterfall that leads directly to a subterranean Floo Flame point. Inside the tomb, players will encounter groups of aggressive spiders and Inferi that require fire spells like Incendio or Confringo to defeat efficiently.

Solving the Moth Door Puzzle

As you venture deeper into the Tomb of Treachery, a locked golden door decorated with moth emblems will block your forward progression. To open this pathway, players need to locate three stray moths hidden in nearby side rooms and guide them using the Lumos charm. Some moths are trapped behind thick spiderwebs or high ledges, requiring players to use fire magic and Wingardium Leviosa to free them.

Completing the Stone Tile Floor Puzzle

In the final chamber of the tomb, a 3x3 grid of stone floor tiles presents the ultimate challenge. After clearing out the remaining wave of Inferi, stand in front of the grid and cast the Flipendo spell on the three specific tiles indicated on your map. Flipping the correct stones causes a chest to rise from the ground, granting players 180 XP and the exclusive Treasure Seeker's Attire.
